Promoting safe use
Syngenta people living and working in rural communities around the world
are dedicated to helping farmers use our products safely and effectively,
training more than 2 million growers every year. Promoting secure storage
is an important part of our stewardship activities, helping to prevent
misuse of crop protection products.
We launched a website in 2008 designed to provide open access to information on a range of stewardship issues including safe use and conservation agriculture techniques. In 2009, we will launch a low bandwidth version of the site, which will be more accessible to people in developing countries with less advanced technology. We will communicate about the site to a network of smallholder farmers and other stakeholders in collaboration with the World Health Organization and NGOs.
